KOPEan application by Fiti Tech
Closed test

The network where money has a face.

KOPE is the app for savings groups in the informal economy: VSLAs, likelemba and mutual funds. It keeps the group's accounts, remembers each member's history and connects groups with the NGOs and networks that support them.

On the phone, online or offline. Sign-in with a phone number and a PIN code. The app is currently in French.

For whom

Each their own space, one group.

KOPE serves everyone who keeps a savings group going, from the member to the network that funds the support.

Members

Their savings, their loans and their estimated share-out, across all their groups at once.

Committees

The meeting recorded in five steps: attendance, savings, fines, loans, repayments. The report is ready at the end.

Supporting NGOs

All their groups in one dashboard, plus support requests from independent groups.

Networks and donors

A consolidated view of a network's groups, in aggregated figures only.

The spaces

Five spaces, at your fingertips.

The bar at the bottom of KOPE takes you anywhere in one tap.

  • Hakiba

The money of every VSLA, likelemba, mutual fund, loan and network, with an overall total. Last meeting report, cash box, cycle and member list.

  • Projetsprojects

A pocket office for one's business: sales and expenses book, business plan, stock, loans and equipment.

  • Sokothe market, in Swahili

Questions, advice, announcements and services between members: start a group, look for a loan, share a success.

  • Messages

Write directly to a member met on the Soko or found by name or phone number.

  • Mon espacemy space

Profile, group history, settings; for an organisation, its groups and networks.

The groups

Three ways to save together.

KOPE recognises collective savings as they are practised, without forcing them into one mould.

Savings and credit

VSLA

The village savings and loan association: savings in shares, loans to members, share-out at the end of the cycle.

Rotating

Likelemba

The rotating savings group: everyone contributes, and the pot goes to a different member each round.

Solidarity

Mutual fund

A fund fed by regular contributions, to face hard times together.

A group is created in a few taps and opened to members with an invitation code. It can run on its own or ask an NGO for support.

Built for the field

Where the network comes and goes.

Phone and PIN

The phone number is the login. No email address needed.

Offline

The meeting is recorded without network; it is sent automatically when the connection returns.

Several groups

One person finds all their groups under a single account.

Installable

KOPE can be added to the phone's home screen and opens like an app.

Rules of trust

What KOPE shows, and what it keeps.

Talking about money calls for discretion. These rules are built into the app and into the database.

Transparency stops at the group

Within a group, every member sees the accounts as the committee does, without being able to change them. Nothing personal leaves the group.

Networks see totals

An NGO or donor following a network sees aggregated figures, never a member's details.

A question can stay anonymous

A question posted without a name can neither be found through search nor traced back to its author.

Connecting people, not lending

KOPE does not lend money. Loan and borrowing announcements only connect people.

Your projects stay yours

The Projets space is visible only to its owner.

KOPE is in closed testing

Building what comes next with the groups.

The first testers have been using KOPE since summer 2026, and their feedback has already shaped the Hakiba screen. You support savings groups and want to equip them: write to us.
